Frequently asked questions

Can I book a table?

No, the Texas Coffee House doesn’t take reservations: tables are given as people arrive, first come, first served. At weekends, coming early is a good idea.

Can I see the menu online?

No, and that’s on purpose: the menu is written in chalk above the counter, and you discover it as you arrive. Pancakes, savoury waffles, lunch waffles, homemade treats and specialty coffee are waiting for you.

Can I pay by card?

No: payment is by cash or with Payconiq, straight from your phone.

Until what time is the kitchen open?

The kitchen (pancakes, savoury and lunch waffles) is open until 2 pm. After that, it’s treats and drinks. On Mondays, we only serve cakes and drinks.

Do you have vegan options?

Yes: the San Antonio waffle is vegan, the Texas Veggie is vegetarian, and every drink comes with a plant-based milk option. Let us know about any allergies at the counter, we’re happy to help.

Can I buy your coffee and matcha?

Yes: the Texas Coffee House Blend, our very own coffee, is sold at the counter. Our Satsuki matcha, hand-picked in Uji, Japan, is available at the counter and on satsukimatcha.be.

Where can I park?

The café is in the pedestrian area of the city centre: the easiest option is to park in a city-centre car park and walk from there. Mons railway station is a few minutes away on foot.
